Hi Abby,

After doing some research I'm aware that HGTV only offers new product listings to companies who enroll in their marketing program. Unfortunately that program is WAY out of my small companies budget at this time so I'm curious how HGTV finds new innovative products that are not buying recognition. It looks like pre-2005 HGTV allowed product submissions through a portal on their webpage which they have since discontinued in favor of their marketing program. It seems to me that limiting designers to the use of only products who can afford to pay for placement on HGTV would be unbeneficial to viewers. As such, I'd expect the designers are sourcing additional products elsewhere to add value to their show, if so is there a way to submit a new product for their review?

Without pitching my product, we manufacturer a lock box that disguises itself as a landscaping rock here right here in the USA. It is not those plastic rock hide a keys from the 1970's rather a 6-15 lb fake concrete rock that can incorporate any landscape concept including into stone walls and pond designs. Our product would be a great addition to one of HGTV's many outdoor living programs as it brings function to the design.

If you could please point me in the right direction or forward my message onto someone who may have the solution I would sincerely appreciate it. As I mentioned previously we are small (just me and my husband), we hand make each and every one of our products and have been shipping them through out the world since 2008. We wish we could afford to take advantage of HGTV's advertising option but unfortunately we can not yet. I hope that someone at HGTV will take the time to give our little US manufacturing business a chance to share our product with their viewers.
