Love It or List It -- PLEASE Lose it! Sign In/Join

I've loved HGTV since it's early years and am a devoted viewer of many programs, but I can't watch one more episode of Love It or List It! Please HGTV, don't insult your devoted viewers by wasting an hour of our time with a show that's the most predictable, tired, one trick theme ever produced for television. The constant bickering between the hosts is annoying and not funny after a couple of remarks, and predictable dilemma of Hillary ALWAYS having an unforeseen crisis that one of the workmen (plumber, electrician, HVAC guy.. take your pick) inform her of an impending disaster unless she spends the client's money on a structural/systems/foundation repair or replacement when she then always does (without getting approval from the client for the drastic changes on where the money is to be spent) is telling us that the show's producers take the viewers for being simple minded.
Then she informs the clients that she has had to use their money on this "must do" repair/replacement so the aesthetic addition, cosmetic update, or name anything you can see, will NOT be possible. Then the clients freak out, but sadly accept her decision, and then she comes through at the end with at least something they can hang on to, and they miraculously forget that she changed the plan on them.
David's role is to be pesky, take them to tour houses so they'll be out while Hillary gets the bad news that their house is about to fall to disaster, then to pop in and exchange soft insults with her until the end of the episode where the clients choose whether to (imagine Hillary & David's one, tired tagline voice here) "Ahh you going to Love IT?" "or List IT?"
P-l-e-a-s-e take it off the air, and give us something with substance. Thank you, thank you in advance.

Question:
Will you please cancel Love It or List It?

Choices:
I have no idea why I have to list a question to get this posted
I still have no idea why I have to list a question to get this posted

mskakki You took the words right out of my mouth! I am so over this show. I feel the same about Property Brothers. Their show is predictable as well. What happened to all the design shows? Bring back Meg, Antonio and David. Lets see more Design on a Dime (especially in this economy).

I am also tired of seeing blocks of Love it or List it and Property Brothers. I don't want to watch one episode let alone a whole afternoon or evening of these 2 shows.

Please take these shows off the air. Please!

I knew we were all out there grinding our teeth and clutching the remote! Thank you for your affirmation, and excellent taste in programming. Smile

I understand there new hosts for Love it or List it. PLEASE have them be civil to eack other. Real life can be hard enough with nasty people. I am so over it on TV. i very rarely watch LIOLI any more. I don't watch any of the shows where people are consistantly disrespected or "put down" by those around them.

Last night’s show March 4th had two new hosts. Their attempt to be like Hilary and David was very bad acting. They were not believable when talking with the clients and the new contractors as well. Also being so young doesn’t make their tips credible. I really missed Hilary and David and I hope they don’t replace them.

I joined the forum ONLY for the purpose of having those pasteurized, homogenized, inauthentic new pretend hosts taken away.

I'm sure they can be nice folks elsewhere, perhaps in a similar TV role, but for them to try to duplicate the charm and individuality of the original hosts in implausible and unsuccessful.

Totally. I get irritated every time I watch it. Then....to top it off, you now have "love it or list it too". If I thought that the hosts were terrible on the first, the second is a discredit to HGTV. I can't wait until you fill up the time slots with an informative show with hosts that don't make me want to puke.
