On an episode this past weekend (6/29-7/1) on income property they cut the center out of a 6 panel steel entry door and added a "door light", a window with blinds inside the glass. I must find out how this was done. Searched the web site but can't find it!
wow..sounds awsome and have that plain steel door myself...
what i can imagine is the cutting, adding a wood frame in the cut and installing glass...but the blinds have me stumped..they'd have to be custom, narrow...and i can see them attached to the wood support...it's making them function (opening and closing) which would ahve to be exterior placed...
visit pella door site..they have a custom door section..i'd c/p for you but of course hgtv isn't letting me....This message has been edited. Last edited by: sjf,

gem, if it was shown on the weekend, it was a rerun. Do you have the episode number (available here on this website - on the show page, IIRC) or have a general description of the episode's plotline?
If you do, that might ring a bell with some of the IP fans here on the m.b. and they could possibly remember that item/project
