I want to buy the compound that was painted onto the HVAC ducts in this episode. It was a beige, thick, and heavy compound to dampen the ductwork for soundproofing.

I checked the Mary & Bridge Episode Shopping Guide, , but for an episode that was clearly focused on soundproofing, there was no mention of any of the soundproofing materials used.

Found this that quotes AcoustiGuard as the Soundproofing Contractor on this episode.

AcoustiGuard's site, does not mention the material.

I contacted Acoustiguard and they came back to me with the name of the material, "ANTIVIBE - DL" and pricing- check out: as well as for other sound proofing materials.

Another update. The above link is now dead, but here's another one

Thank you for the research. I wanted to cover two stainless steel sinks before installation, and this seems like the right stuff (spec sheet and sales team member confirm). Called the company and unfortunately, it is not available in Ottawa, and the smallest bucket, 5 gallons/60 lbs sells for $150 plus shipping. Distribution opportunity anyone?

UPDATE June 25, 2014:
I just finished applying the product (Antivibe-DL) to both our new sinks. The kitchen one only got a coat on the bottom due to tight access now that it’s installed; the basement laundry sink got bottom and sides. I have about two scoops leftover from the 10-lb. pail. As a result, all you hear is the water going down the drain, no pinging from the stainless steel. What a difference, especially in the basement that is a 20-gauge single bowl. The product is totally odourless, and goes on like butter. I used a 3-inch trowel to apply it, then a wet paint brush to smooth it out and feather the edges. You will never notice it. And it is so easy to clean up with water.

I am not Scott McGillivray, but I can attest to the fact that this product works. Too bad it is not available more widely, and particularly in Ottawa. Distribution opportunity anyone?
