Apparently, vanity tables are out of vogue. The makers of my bedroom furniture (Mt. Vernon's George Washington collection by Durham - sounds American and antique-y doesn't it? It's not. I think they are based in Canada. Anyhoo, it's good stuff.) do not off any vanities in their collections. So, I am searching for something that is compatible. It's a very dark wood.
I plan on placing this table below/in front of a large window, so I'd love to find a table with a mirror attached to the bottom of a flip top surface. That way, the mirror would only be blocking the window while I was using it, and could be folded down for the bulk of the day.
Other requirements: Wood, but not oak, not black, not white, not mirrored, green paint might be OK. Some drawers, one large enough for a hair dryer would be ideal. A matching seat/chair. Nothing too precious, country, or antique-y.
