I saw an HGTV show several months ago where the woman painted on her cement patio. She used a template made to look like bricks, and then painted a color to make her plain cement patio look like a paver patio. My question is: If anyone remembers the show or has done this, is there a clear coat to use over the paint to make it last??? Thanks!!

I didn't see the show, but I saw something similar in a magazine. I had used concrete paint several years ago on my porch and it's a MESS! It started peeling off within months after I painted it. I'm sure it's something I did wrong.
I just picked up a booklet of concrete stain colors from Home Depot. I forget the brand name, but if you have a HD near you, go there and ask about it in the paint dept. I'm sure they can help you out with the "stone templates" too. You could probably even free-hand stones easy enough if you're pretty creative.
    Good luck!
