Me too Froo. I've been "green" for years, but I'm really tired of hearing the phase. Another one that bugs the heck out of me is when they "change out", "swap-out", "switch out" something on all these shows. Can't we just "change" something anymore?

My pet peeve on the House Hunters show is when someone will say this about a bedroom ...."well it's kind of small". That drives me nuts!

Hey Fille! I haven't posted/read much in this forum either but am enjoying this discussion! When we bought our first home, we were just happy to GET A HOUSE. I can't imagine the reaction from our family/friends at the time if we had gone around whining about how everything was "a little small", or the kitchen was "dated." They would have told us to get off our high horse!

And I bet you never once said "it's a little small", didya? I heard another one tonight that was like nails on the blackboard...and it is so danged late that I drew a blank when I started to post it! But I'm sure it'll come to me...or I'll hear it on TV tomorrow, whatever it was.

I am sick of hearing "price point" wha??? its the price.. there may be a decimal point in it but nah its just the price.
same with space.. no its a room.. it may be a spacious room or not, but its a room..
yep change out? or edit out.. send them to the department of the redundancy department.

Just saw this thread... What annoys me is when a designer describes a style as a "feel or vibe." For example, "I'm going for a modern feel." "This room has a hip, contemporary vibe." Why can't they just say,"This is a modern room, or this room has a contemporary style?"
