    As usualy what was IN, eventually returns to the latest style fad
    Friends said I was nuts for having a 2nd hand, reupholstered sofa recovered, again. Priced a new one: triple the cost!!! without hand tied springs or down filled back cushions.
    ummm the new sofa's have 5" wide arms; mine are only 4" wide>>> tisk!

    Yep, if you own a really good quality sofa and it is the right scale, and style, and the right proportions for your room, there is no reason to buy new. I am totally in favor of reupholstering. And a good reupholstery job can cost as much as a new sofa, so it is nothing to sniff at!
