I have a 70,s brick ranch. In my living room is a wet bar with sink. Outdated? Should a new counter be placed and bookshelves made? It just doesn't feel right? I also have dark wood judges paneling in the room. It would look great white, but a lot of work. I understand fine woodwork is coming back. Anyone have an opinions?

I was in a house like your once where they replaced the wetbar with a large, built-in aquarium. The plumbing/cabinet underneath it became the "control hub" for 2 other aquariums they had elsewhere in their home so all 3 had an auto-fill function. I was rather impressed by both the (re)engineering, and resulting ease of maintaining their tanks (2 freshwater, 1 marine).

I'd like to see a pic of your paneling. If it's nice and not what a lot of people think of when they think of paneling, I'd keep it!

Not sure about the wet bar. Bookshelves sound much better.
