My client has expensive ugly satin scarf/swag draperies that were installed in the 1970s and are in good condition. I can't convince her to replace or remove them. They cover the entire length of a large living room, all glass.

Here's my challenge: They currently have these atrocious fabric ruffled rosettes, about 18 inches across, at the corners, necessary to cover the seaming.

I think I will add some trim/fringe/cording to update the swags but don't know what to do with these corners. Need something BIG. Any ideas?

    Thank you!

welcome to the boards!! And what a challenge!! Are you able to post pictures? I would take your pictures and post this same question over on the GenDecorating Board. There will be lots of suggestions, and if you have pictures, we can see better...

Well, I think 35+ years of use are enough for the price they paid.

I think you should insist on having them replaced or removed.

I agree. But they are in their 80s and just don't want to do it at this point in their lives.

Can someone tell me how to post a photo? Thanks!
