I haven't posted here in a while, because my usual hang out is the crochet board. I usually pick up the sewing machine during warmer weather and the crochet hook during the winter. Anyway.. I've been searching for a simple t-shirt and jeans pattern for the American Girl type doll. I have a cheaper doll that I want to make some clothes for and would like to start with that. Does anyone know of a free pattern on the net I can use? Does anyone have one to share?? Thanks for all your replies. Oh, I did check Walmart, but they never seem to have any good patterns in stock! ANd ebay is out of the question for now. PM me if you have any info, thanks again.

Nope, I already had that one, heehee. I was looking for one to make a t-shirt and denim jeans. The only thing I could find was a template/pattern of some tiny pants and shirt for a Star Wars action figure. I blew up the pattern, and tweaked it until it fit the doll. I haven't made the t-shirt yet, because I got derailed by another crochet project.
Do you own an AMerican Girl Doll? I own an Our Generation doll which I got from the thrift store for only $2, so I'm using her as a clothes model for now.

Just about any 18 doll pattern will fit the American Girls, but, if the sleeves are fitted you need to make them just a little bit bigger. I've made a lot of clothes/accessories for my DD's Kaya. Kim
There are clothes that fit Am Girl at AC Moore in the aisle with the teddy bears. Much less expensive than the real thing and then you could add your own touch to personalize them.
