They've never had a dream home outside the continental US. I'm sure an Alaskan dream home could be wonderful, but I'd guess its unlikely.

Very clever that a clue for DH2013 comes out on the 13th. Nothing awful about this number. lol

an eight in the sand was a clue. Must have a beach, could be one of many states.

Second clue is etchings of Robert Heath - probably narrowed down to SC or NC.

They've announced on the blog that the 2013 HGTV Dream Home will be on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

Now you're talkin'! Looks like it will be the one called the Camelia and it will have a guest cottage. Being 12 feet off the ground, one of the options is an elevator...hope I never need it, but would hate to have to leave because it wasn't there some day.

After further review, I believe we are definitely looking at the Camellia model. It is interesting to note that the floor plan shown and the rendering of that model are not consistent, they are reverses of one another. It appears to be that the HGTV house will be situated as shown in the rendering and the floor plan will be reversed, that is the kitchen, etc will be to the right on entering the front door and the stairs going up will be to the left. That will put the pool, if there is one, to the back right. Not sure now if the guest cottage will be part of the package...time will tell.

Even though a local real estate company has said it's 119 Halona Lane, that house is already complete in the developer's video - I'd bet on 129 Halona which shows as Heath Cottage Park Drive on one map.

No guest cottage- and it is 119. It is a mirror image of the rendering.

It has some neat and interesting attributes. I can't wait to see more, but that is not usually until Dec.

Dear HGTV family too funny we are not even there yet silly rabbits!! So can we just be in the day and enjoy the beautiful dream home just built for a few days!!! So good to read old familiar names here it has been a long journey dear family of friends Such a very long journey for US all!!! So many of unforeseen events what a true joy and bittersweet blessing to be back here with U again. This was first my sons Christians dream way before it was ever mine he was the one who found HGTV and began the dream for us so many years ago now.I say bittersweet because he and all of my children and family have been away from me for so very long!!! All my girls daughters nieces sisters friends they all used to shake their heads at me for years thinking maybe someday. How they loved to tease me that mom was such an endless dreamer my world fell apart and thanks to the laughter of children the joy of animals and the beauty of HGTV and amazing extended family out there I am still alive and still very much a dreamer of the someday... If only for a few minutes I will always try and stop in and show my love and support for all of our HGTV dream team dreamers old and new. So as usual our beloved HGTV dream team and generous sponsors and hard working teams have out done themselves!!! Our HGTV rocks!!!

On a personal note could kick myself that when I was working in Tenn I never had the chance to make it to Knoxville I did think of our HGTV home office several times while living there Tenn rocks I can see why they work out of such a beautiful state filled with very cool stylin people. I look forward to many moments reading your words of laughter dreaming sharing caring smiling and quilting posts...It is so very good to be back home here at HGTV because home is where the heart is and UR all apart of my heart now!!! Much love Many Blessings
xoxoxoxo
