Hi nursejudy,

They do have gators there. In Hilton Head which is about 2 hours away, they keep a watch on the size of their gators and move the large ones away. Still caution is advised for the small ones because they attack small animals. They like to sun themselves by the marshes and lagoons.

I don't know what the policy is for gator size in Kiawah. Just keep your distance. They are fun to see. Small kids ride bikes with parents supervising.
