Vicki made me cry too. She was truly excited and so grateful. I doubt she will move to Utah since she has two daughter and grandchildren in her home area. I wouldn't move either and would take the cash that is left after taxes. Here is a question to ponder for HGTV - Why not have a Dream Home Sweepstakes where the winner gets their home completely remodeled so their house becomes their dream home and if they rent they can purchase a home in their area to have remodeled. I sure would go for that. Anyone else out there? I enter the dream home giveaway some years once or twice and other years every day. I never win anything either and my time is coming up soon to win something/anything (I hope). :-)

I agree Strawhair...while I would never snub my nose at one of the Dream homes, I would love for them to have a sweeps where the prize would be to remodel my home.

Strawhair- what a wonderful idea-would love to have my home remodeled and yard fixed up and a new car/suv. I doubt if hgtv would go for that.

Great idea for another contest ladies. The dreamhome building is all about the sponcers and what they provide for the dreamhome and the furnishings, and decorations along with the property provided by an HOA somewhere. Dreams are a spectacular thing, not about practicality.

I dream big and love Dream Home and all that goes into it. I hope there is a video soon of the dream weekend for Vicki and her family. She was so happy with winning, I would love to see her enthusiasum when she actually visits and see her prize.

The winner vanished into thin air, as it seems almost all of them do? Haven't heard diddly from our winner.
The green homes' winners are especially interesting, in that the green "advantages" are left mute as far as the post-sweepstakes exposure is concerned.
