We are replacing a 60 " vanity with a 48" vanity in the bathroom. The heat vent will end up going 4" under the new vanity--what are some options? Is it ok to put the vanity partially over the vent? Help--need suggestions! Thanks in advance

The best option would be to move the vent. You could end up stifling your furnace by blocking off the vent. At the very least, I would talk to a HVAC person, preferably one that is familiar with your system and setup.

You are going to a smaller vanity so I visualize that as leaving either a floor vent or wall-type vent partly exposed. Floor vent should be no problem but a vertical wall-type vent could be. I'd also consult a pro on this.
