Once you are finished remodeling the Kitchen, installing the Cabinets and appliances there is one more thing you can to fine tune your kitchen look. I am not going to suggest you any expensive decorating idea or product. In fact it is one of the most economical way have a fresh kitchen look. The project I am suggesting is the installation of new cabinet hardware on the kitchen cabinets. Cabinet Hardware as you may know are pieces of decorative hardware made of metals like brass, copper, steel or bronze. Kitchen is not the only place where you can replace the cabinet knobs or pulls. Infact you can replace any knobs from any furniture, cabinet door or cabinet drawers.
Thanks and Regards,
I am not replying to this subject. for some reason, I just can't post a new subject.
I would appreciate any input on the subject of kitchen countertops.
My husband and I are redoing the tiny kitchen in our condo. Next week we will be choosing the countertops. I don't know whether to go with granite or quartz. I really love the look of granite, but I wonder if the upkeep will be too hard. Quartz seems like an easier surface to keep clean. However, I don't think that Quartz looks as nice as Granite. We have very hard water here in Southern Calif.
If any of you have either Quartz or Granite, could you let me know what your experience is with these two surfaces?
I thought you were doing something wrong, but I just tried to start a new post and it didn't work for me either!

Classic, we used to live in SoCA and I agree that the water is hard, but from what we discovered in a couple moves, it really isn't any harder than most other places. But it is more alkaline.
In SoCA granite was a top line favorite in my experience; it is used a lot, and I never heard of anyone complaining about granite upkeep. However, granite is a natural material and it may vary from one piece to another.
I have no experiece with quartz.
Suggestion: put your location in your profile as I have done so people won't have to ask again.
Bob, thank you for your input. I am leaning towards granite, but we will make our decision next week.
Strange about this board. I never had any trouble before starting a new topic. I wonder what the matter is.
