I recently installed a ceramic tile floor in my house and in the bathroom the commode tries to slide around. I have tightened the nuts on the bottom to the point I think I am going to break the unit and it still moves a little. Any suggestions out there??

If the toilet rocks even slightly, use plastic toilet wedges to level it. Then apply latex adhesive caulk around the base, except for the back 4" or so. That should hold it. Yes, do be careful that you don't tighten the bolts too much.
I have installed several toilets on ceramic tile or marble and never had a problem with them sliding around. Are you sure the floor flange is solidly in place? |

yes the floor flange seems to be tight in place.
The commode does not rock at all. Will check and do what you said and get back to you. thanks bloomers53 |
