On one of the kitchen redo's on HGTV. A glass tile backsplash was used. This tile was not square it was rectangular pieces with bevelled edges. I believe the color was mist green and apparently comes in many different colors. I cannot find this type of glass tiling. Can anyone help? perhaps a link to order or which home building store sells them? Lowes did not have them, and according to the internet neither does Home Depot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look up the TV Show and see exactly what they used.Smile

Chances are it may not be available in your area. The people that produce those shows don't give much thought to a viewers accessibility to products mooched for the shows. They don't care, they want to be first to show it, never mind whether it's a good idea or not, or if it really works or not beyond the taping of the show.

Be very careful duplicating ideas you see on thos phony TV shows.Smile

Hi Kate and welcome to the boards. Smile

Google search "rectangular glass tiles" and you'll get results showing recycled glass and other types that would be suitable for kitchen or bath backsplashes. Here are two:

Natural Built Home
Buid Direct

Daltile also has a line of glass tiles, but most are the small mosaics.

Sounds similar to Oceanside glass tile that I considered. There are many manufacturers with glass tile products. Some are in the US and some are foreign. The variety keeps growing. Just be sure to consider the differences in installation, experience, etc. that are necessary to make glass tile look sparkling and bright. Glass tile is not the same as ceramic tile or stone. There are some very beautiful glass tiles that are available to consumers--most tile stores can show you a large variety of glass tile. I would not think about going to HD or Lowe's for this product, consider a good quality local tile store and see what they have. We installed glass tile in a bath 2 years ago. We used BIsazza tile and grout. We researched the market thoroughly. Get samples, do not go by what's online or even in a magazine--you'd be amazed at the difference. It is important to see a sample board with the tile and grout that you are thinking about using. We found that there were vast differences between the white, blue and gray grouts that we were considering. We eventually went with a vibrant blue which magnified the blue in the bluish green tile.
