I currently have a free-standing range that I will be replacing with my kitchen remodel. I looked at the slide-in ranges today. I really like that they protrude less than the free-standing models. My range is very close to a corner cabinet so I think it may look much nicer.

Are their any special considerations that I should take into account if I were to go with a slide-in model?

Be sure the cabinets are installed at the proper width. Also, my slide-in required a fill-in piece of counter at the back of the stove-top. I have a Frigadaire professional series dual fuel -- gas top and electric w/convection and a warming drawer. Just love it!!
