Hi all. We're renting a house and are getting a deal on the rent if we fix the place up a bit. They want to redo the bathroom and we've got it almost ready for tile. The thing is, they want to tile the floor, the lower half of the walls, and the entire tub surround shower area. My husband has done floor tile before and think he can do the rest of it too. There's just a few issues we have.
They want and bought 12x12 floor tiles for EVERYTHING. And nothing with the nice beveled edges. and she wants the shower tiled up to the ceiling. Without a beveled edge how can you get a nice even transition between the drywall and the tile? What do you do? Put up a piece of trim bewteen the two and next to the tub/shower? somehow I don't think she'd like that. And this is such a very very small bathroom those hugh tiles are gonna look awful right?

Unless you guys are getting about $7000 worth of value from doing this I would tell "HER" to go fly a kite. If your trading for only a couple of months rent, you are getting screwed and "SHE" knows it!Smile
