I have instaled a floating prefinished hardwod flor in my family room which is adjacent to the kitchen. Is there a big problem if I continue the same flooring into the kitchen?

Don't know of any problem if you follow directions carefully. However, if you have it in front of a dishwasher, it may keep you from removing it for service. You would need to see if the DW height can be adjusted to compensate. Best to put the flooring under the DW right off.
