Updating hardware; want to move from center to lower edge. How do I cover the old holes in the center of the door?
Tried to attach a picture.
You may have to resize your px.
Covering the holes is always a problem. If the cabinets are painted you can fill the holes abd repaint the center panel. If they are stained you can try using a color match wax crayon but I have never found this satisfactory. Cover the hole with ta piece of trim that has been stained to match the cabinet.
Px sure would help.
I patched a hole in a cabinet when I relocated it and had to flip the door to get it swinging the right direction for its new location. I used a plug cutter to cut a plug out of a piece of matching wood. You can still see where the old knob location is but it looks a lot better.
Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.
I am not an employee of HGTV, nor is anyone else that posts here.
My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
will try to repost pic again; cabinets are stained.
