Hi to all. New here. I live in Florida on the water. I am re-painting the kitchen. Should my walls be darker or lighter then the cabinets?
Thanks Mike

If cabinets are darker, they will pop on a lighter color. If lighter cabinets, then you can work with darker color.

What color cabinets? Wood species? Amount of natural light? Colors in adjacent area(s)? Counter, floor, appliance colors? Are you working with a theme? What style home?

There are lots of photos of kitchens on the internet to help you get a better idea of how to approach color. Here's a good start of photos at a Lakeland, FL, showroom: http://www.floridakitchendesigns.net/Kitchen_Cabinets/gallery.htm

Cool I like the Photo 6. It looks very Nautical and beach like.
My floors are white tile with a hint of rose and my appliances are white. It has natural light. The kitchen windows over look the water.
I am re-painting the cabinets.
Thanks
Mike
