My butcherblock laminate counter top is 24 years old. Can't afford to replace it. How can I brighten and clean it up?

Use auto wax. However, that won't repair worn spots.

Have you looked into the cost for replacing it? Laminate countertops are really inexpensive, you can get them cut to fit and easy to install yourself.
