Help! I am trying to replace my kitchen and bathroom faucets. I have found several beautiful faucets on a website for purchase but I don't know how to measure my current faucets to make sure that the faucets I purchase fit. I know from calling my favorite plumber/ electrician that I need to measure from the center of one "off/on" handle to the center of the other and that will tell me "my faucet is an 8" center". Is there any other information that I can provide to the purchase web site that would help in determining the correct size of faucets?

Bath faucet handles are usually either 4" or 8" spread. Measure the distance from center of each handle. Kitchen faucets, unless a speciality style, are usually three-hole--one for faucet and one of handle on each side.

Thank you very much for your reply. My kitchen faucet measures the standard 8" spread. However, I understand that bathroom faucets usually measure 4" spread and mine measures an 8" spread; thus, an unusual bathroom faucet I suppose. LOL. In any event; again thank you very much for responding and have a good evening.

8" spread for bathroom faucets (sink or tub) is not unusual. Most of the companies make that size.
