I need advice! We just rented a house and the whole house is nice, EXCEPT the bathroom. It is straight out of the 50's or 60's! It has a pink tub and sink, ugly tan tile on the walls and base of tub and a pea green tile floor. How do we make it look nice without spending a lot of money??? Help, please!I need advice! Don't know what you can do since you are a renter; you would have to get permission from the owner to make any significant changes, and they would be expensive anyway. I think you are going to be limited to towels and bath mats.

Take a look at retrorenovation.com or savethepinkbathrooms.com. You might be pleasantly surprised at what you can do with pink, or you might even become a convert, like I did. If you're willing to give it a go, re-post on the General decorating board with some pictures, I'll bet you'll get ideas you never even thought of.

There is a newer, heavier sheet vinyl flooring product that (allegedly) needs no adhesive that may work for covering the floor without damaging the premises.

Thank you! I will look into that too!
