I have white cabinets in my kitchen, I added rope twist trim and new pewter looking fruit knobs, stainless applainces and UbaTuba grantite, almost black with golds and greens, having trouble with backspash, stone does not look right, seems too taupe, I have a more cream cooler one with the sealer on it it will look warmer and a small blackish grantite diamond, thinking about. The walls are buttercram yellow, wallpaper is black background with frut under the chairail.
Help!! And Thanks..my first post! |

Had the same issue with my kitchen backsplash (white cabs with taupe Silestone counters). Didn't want to have the tile compete with the texture of the counters, so I ended up selecting a handthrown look subway tile in a bisque glaze (Florida Tile - Retro Flair). Sounds like it could work for you too.

I would love the new small glass tiles for my next backslash. I now have a mirrored backsplash with glass knobs. The mirror has been getting a little worked over lately, too much cooking. The HGTV dream home last year had a backsplash of glass tiles. Good luck.

With a good washable paint you don't really have to have a backsplash. It sounds lke you have a lot of nice details already. A backsplash may be overkill.
