We have white corian in our kitchen and it needs to be sanded. Is this something we can do
ourselves?
If I had it to do over I'd never choose the solid color Corian! Shows to many flaws!

I would tackle the sanding and repolishing, but not everyone might. There are several sites that talk you through the process with 400 grit paper and then finally polish with auto polishing compound with a buffer pad.

Is it just scratched and more or less dull in some areas that show, or do you have burn marks and gouges? Amount of damage might determine who would be best to do the work.

And I hear you about solid colors. We opted for a white on white, speckled finish of Swanstone (similar product) in our shower stall. The pure white was a third less in cost, but when I saw it in a show room sink/counter...I could clearly see a hair in it from several feet away!

I hear you about the hair. We have a black dog. But at least we can see the hair before it gets in the food!!
It's really scratched but no gouges or burn marks.
I'd really like it to look better I know it will never look new again. Oh well.

Why don't you talk to a dealer who sells and installs Corian? They can tell you what's possible after they've had a chance to inspect it. I can't imagine just sanding on my own. You could really make a mess for yourself and end up with a situation that is a lot worse than what you have now.
