I have a ton of debris in the grass thats on one side of my house. Its mostly small twigs, dead branches, and lots and lots of acorns. When you walk in the grass on the side of my house all you hear is "crack" "crack" "crack" and I cannot stand it. I cannot walk in that area without shoes and that bothers me. I recently purchased the house and I don't believe the previous owner picked up a rake the entire 9 years he lived there. There are 4 large trees on that side of the house where it is all coming from. Should I rake it all up area by area until it's gone? I'm not sure if it is harmful to grass growth. All of it is embedded in the ground. Should I leave it?

besides clearing the debris from the grass it will help the grass as well. if you're a golfer, wear your spikes..it breaks up the soil...

Yes, the lawn will beable to breath and grow better. Plus there will be less places for spiders and other fun things to make their home.
