I live in Kentucky and we have a large wooden unpainted/natural looking deck on the back of our house that everyone can see. We would like a bit of privacy for times we chill out.
I cannot think of anything that will look decent and provide a bit of privacy for very very cheap or from things I might have around here or can find for free around town. I would appreciate any ideas.

    Hi -

    A couple of ideas:
    1) Add a top railing - about 6 feet up - on right and left - Use hanging plants to create a green wall. If you want to actually get some benifit from the plants - try Cherry tomatoes - and Poll beans(Beans need strings coming down to train on). Clementis are also pretty - but not good aroung young kids (poisonous if eaten)
This works during the summer - but of course - not the winter.
    2) Mosquito netting - relatively cheap - it won't block the view - but it will blur it a lot. I use a thin curtain in the house to do the same. Ikia had some really thin curtains for $4.99 - Lenght 98 inches - width 110 - 2 pannels that would last 1 season.
