Advice on color of rocks to put around palm trees? Sign In/Join
posted
I have 3 palm trees next to a pool that currently have wood chips around the trees. I want to put rocks around the trees instead of the wood chips and I'd like it to have a beach style feel to it. The palm trees currently have the an elliptical shape around them made up of red colored bricks that are flush in the concrete.

I am trying to decide between black Mexican beach pebbles and Arizona style pebbles that come in an assortment of colors including greys and reds.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I would try a sample of both but the black ones will attract more heat .They both would look fine with the brick border .But black will make the brick border stand out more and the pebbles would blend it all together .When in doubt I put a sample of both down and take several pics and put them on my puter and look at them side by side to see what I like better .It will then be up to you and what you like and not what someone else likes .I know around my pond I have cold hardy palms and i put white marble chips so it would bring out the color of the palms and brighten up the area around my koi pond .
