I am trying to get a hot tub without breaking the bank. The industry seems kind of esoteric but Ive done extensive research and found a brand called Durasport (which also goes under Strong Spa and other manufacturers)
The good it it seems to be exactly what I want- a 4-5 person spa that is relatively easy to move and cheap- and it is plug and play AND if things work out it can be rewired for 220 volts for better operations. But I cannot find any reviews online- Amazon doesn't sell these- wayfair only sells one model (I think) and google for once can't help me out.
So if you know anything about Durasport (rio specifically) or any other spas similar to described above let me know.
Digest version: does anyone have this hot tub- how does it work http://www.walmart.com/ip/2146...=38871602590&veh=sem
Whenever you are in doubt about how good a product might be----find and ask the person who owns one. Don't go by the dealer---he's there to soak you....yeah...pun intended; but seeing as how they do cost a lot, its better to satisfy in your own mind whether you made a good deal or not.
I had fun looking up this topic on You Tube. I learned a great deal of the variety that's out there. Let's just say....Hub, is shaking his head and rolling his eyes by what I discovered. LOL
I've had several hot tubs and I've never heard of that brand. I would be leery of anything that you just plug in. Everyone one we've had needed a dedicated 220 line with emergency cut off. I never trust anything cheap when it comes to electricity and water.
@ loonie...what did you find out?!- how could you post that and think I wouldn't follow up! Are you the knowledge key I've been looking for?
