How many people really check out the rescue me plant shelves at garden centers .I have gotten some great bargains the last 10 years .A lot of my in my yard and around my pond cost less that a dollar for a 6 pack of plants and i have loved them back to life and even divided them up for other areas and even shared them with friends and neighbors .How many people out there enjoy saving a plant and find it was the best purchase they ever made .

I always check Lowes & Walmart's reduced sections first. HD doesn't mark anything down here & our nursery seldom does either....besides, Lowes has better plants than our nursery.

sissy, I discovered something else that several Lowes does too. If you purchase at least 10 plants from the markdown rack they will sometimes mark them down further...as far down as 90% off...BUT YOU HAVE TO ASK! One Lowes told a gal they had to be 10 of the same plant...NOT, if that happens you need to talk to the garden center manager or store manager.
Thought of something else. Let the garden center manager of YOUR Lowes know that you will be doing most of you shopping at the other Lowes due to his NOT having a markdown policy. It is sometimes amazing what can happen when they think someone else will "out do" them! This message has been edited. Last edited by: ga.karen,
