man made pond Sign In/Join
I am looking for information on constructing a large man-made pond/swimming pool. I saw one on an episode of cool pools last week that really sparked our interest in building one, but we are having trouble finding information on it. It featured hadite?? rock that eliminated the need for chemicals. The pool also did not have to be drained for the winter. If anyone has any information they'd like to share, we'd appreciate it.

Like the man who wanted to buy a Packard Automobile and wanted to know how much...the advice given was
"ask the man who owns one".

So before you jump into building a water pond, obtain information from the man who has one.

I think that is what he is trying to do by posting here.

Don't know anything about man made pools since we live on a lake but I did a general search. The rock is called haydite and what you want to look up are green pools. I had never seen them before and they look interesting.

Exactly! Thank you for your input. Searching with the term "green pool" brought up more helpful information than what I had been finding before. I also found helpful info on pinterest. Thanks!
