We just purchased a hot tub. Looking for some landscaping ideas for around it. Thinking about a pergola or trellis to help with privacy on one side. Would love to see your photos of what you all have done.
Thanks in advance,
Jm

Take a look thru some books like at Lowes to see what they show. Find something you like that way. Just remember that plants GROW, leave them space for their mature size.

The pergola is one such idea if you want to go that expense but a reasonable bit of privacy can be gotten by putting up a lattice fence as close to the tub as you wish.
Be careful though, I suggest you not grow a vine up such fence idea, you don't want to be 'bugged' by flying insects. A canopy might be arranged by using an umbrella or awning where desired.

and remember to leave a border around, as some plants might not like the treated water...would a "living wall" of evergeen like cyprus afford the privacy you want?
