Does Yard Crashers or anyone like that ever come to Tucson, Arizona? My husband and I adopted 2 children and planned to install artificial grass vs. our real grass. We live in the desert and real grass was a bad idea. Big water bill to keep it green. Anyway, needless to say we had to let it die. We have rocks surrounding the area, but they are big and difficult to walk on. We were going to use some savings to do our back yard, but now both of us are getting ready to be furloughed as we both work on the base as civilians. Now our small yard budget is going to put food on the table for our 2 growing boys and pay the rest of the bills while we are furloughed for 11 weeks. We are willing to help do whatever work needs to be done. We seriously need a crash. :-) Any help would be great. It's hot in the desert.
Artificial lawn grass can protect your backyard. It works well for high-traffic areas of the backyard, such as under children's swing sets and where they play games.
Yes we plan to lay artificial grass down, especially living here in the desert. We need one that is dog friendly, but still plan to have a couple of rock areas for them to do most of their business. We have decided to lay down some concrete for the 2 sheds and small BBQ area we want to have. Anything more will be pavers. We have also thought about installing a small spray pad for our kids and dogs to enjoy during the hot summer days. We already have irrigation in the back yard and thought we may tap into that for the spray pad. Going to be a huge undertaking.
