I am in need of walkway lighting. The problem is my walkway is on the east side of the house and gets no sun in the winter (plenty in the summer) Any ideas for a solar panel that sits on the west side.

Not that there isn't some sun, I lift my solar lights in October and set them out when the sun returns in May.
For the 3 months January - March I'm at my winter home in Florida anyway so I don't miss them.

There are solar panels that do not need direct sunlight, but do need bright light. I have a couple of calculators that work from the house lights and not sunlight.
As long as there is light on the east side of your house those lights should work.

There are solar yard lights with a separate solar panel, good for shady locations.

I have some cheap Walmart solar walk lights. One doesn't get any direct sun but still works most of the night. Think I paid $3 for it & I've had it going on 2 yrs.

Have you considered electric lights with a timer? You could set them for when you know you need the lighting. With summer coming, you wouldn't need them long in Texas each evening.

We have tried several solar varieties and none of them last for more than a few yrs, nor do they give out enough light. If your budget prefers the solar styles, do your research. And definitely buy from a store that will let you return them. And on a walkway, I recommend something that is short next to the walkway or tall if put back from the edges.
