The original design was to install river rocks size 3"-6" neatly next to each other by hand in the small planter areas 3 feet by 10 feet in between of the garage's driveways in stabilized DG. Planters are at the driveway's level with no borders/curbs around, with a high possibility of a car running over.
The landscaper who was assigned to do the job is going to change the original design by installing the river rocks the same way but in size 1"-3". Would it be a good idea?

Thank you!
