We flipped boards on our deck like someone on here suggested. I'm sanding them to remove the stain from the edges but am wondering how to get the rest of the stain out? What do you folks suggest. I'm afraid if I sand to far the boards will be uneven. TIA.

With the intense UV rays in CO, I am now sold on either solid color stain or semi-transparent. (they are longer lasting and better at blocking the sun and solid stain does it best) Both of these types will often color over the old stain if you are using a similar color. Check with a local supplier to see what brands work the best in your region?

Thanks. I don't care for the solid color. I jsut want the natural color of the wood to come through! Maybe if I wait a few wks then put the clear stain on it the sun will bleach part of it out.
