We have gutter guards on our gutters which have become clogged with debris over the years. We hired a guy to clean the gutters and he says that he can't remove the guards unless he spends hours doing the job and even then it usually isn't done. Does anyone else have this problem? What do you do?

There are many different types of gutter guards, from the snap in mesh type (plastic or metal), to the expensive "gutter helmet" type, that only have about an inch opening or so.
What type do you have?
