We are considering buying a house with a flat roof.
Has anyone done a remodel & changed the roofline from a flat to a regular pitched roof? We are wondering how expensive this can be. The house is small, around 1500sq ft or so. I'm assuming we'll need an archtect/permits. Thanks |

It would depend upon how big the roof area is, and how complicated you want to make the roof line. If you don't need or want to use the attic space doing it with trusses would be the easiest way to do it especially for a simple gable roof. Permits would be required you probably wouldn't need an architect but a lot will depend upon what your town requires for the permits.
