Driveway pouring question
How long after a new driveway is dug out before the asphalt can be poured?

A friend has had her driveway dug out for a month and the contractor said they are waiting for it to settle before they pave.

Is that truth or fiction from the contractor?

Your question made me curious. I found this article:

According to them, after soil is mechanically compacted it should sit about a week.

hhhmmmmmmm, IF that were the case, building hgwys would take a lot longer,,, after proper compaction, its rdy to pave

if you hear it from an apron/vest store guy, be VERY skeptical
