We have a very old set of concrete steps. Alot of the gravel shows, very bumpy surface. They are very sturdy and we are not replacing them yet. We have old brick lining our flowerbeds next to these steps and I would like to try to color these steps to match or at least come close. Any ideas?
TIA, Sheree

Trojan Color Sealer is the product you want to take a look at.

Awesome products to change the color of bricks and concrete. Best part is that they offer samples so you can test first.

{yawn} sounds as if someone's got a financial interest in the product shill'd.

fix the steps 1st or you'll have a very old set of bumpy steps that you'll have to color annually IF i read the product description correctly - its an acrylic sealer, sheree, very few pro's use,,, however, MOST h/o'sdiy'ers do.

there should be enough posts & replies on this forum so you'll be able to educate yourself,,, good luck.

Excuse me?

Perhaps you're the one who needs to educate yourself -- firstly about this community. Secondly, realize you're not text messaging. This is a forum and if you have professional point of view to share then type and write like it. Perfect grammar and spelling are by no means a requirement, but make an effort if you want to be taken seriously.

I almost hate4 to step in here because this post is getting way off track.

Are you looking for something that will just last a short time (relatively) until you need to replace the steps? Now I know pro's will scoff at this but you can take plain acrylic paint and dilute it. Wet the cement and scrub the color in. It will hold up for a long time. You can even use two colors in the same area for a nice mottled look to mimic the brick.

You are right about it needing to only be temporary. And I have acrylic paints too. Thanks for the idea!!!
