French Door screens question
We are having a new outward swinging French door installed. Does anyone have these with the pull across screens? I want to be able to open the doors for breezes so need the screens but am concerned how it looks on the inside where the screen rolls up and is hidden.

The brand name of the doors should have a pamphlet or website where you can view photos of what your brand of door (screens in use) would look like.

Do you mean a regular sliding screen door or one of those disappearing screens?

My french doors swing to the inside and there is a track on the outside that I was able to get a screen door from home depot to use. It's not perfect but it works, keeps the bugs out.

Always1 Step Behind,
My doors are going to swing out and there will be a disappearing screen on the inside. Does that make sense?

I've only been to one house that had those disappering screens. I think it's a great idea.

I know there are do it yourself disappearing screen kits and then there are companies that come out and install them for you. Which are you thinking?

With a nice new door and if you can afford it, I'd have it done professionally.

We had the retractable screens installed in a previous home in our entry. Awesome. I highly recommend them.

We used Phantom brand: http://www.phantomscreens.com/

ETA: Even though the website offers DIY kits, I suggest you get it professionally installed, for best results.

They are quite expensive I think. At least for us they seem pricey but I love open doors and windows better than AC when the weather is right for it. I figure why have the nice doors and have to leave them closed due to flies, bees, etc. We planned to have them installed by the contractor that's installing the doors.
