I thought you'd like to see the finished floors. I also fauxed the walls. The decor isn't done (I have to shop my house for wall stuff)

Tell us more! My DD has old hardwood under her carpet and is talking about tearing the carpet up. The hardwood is in bad shape and she can't really afford to have it refinished. I had suggested stain or paint. Any suggestions? What did you use? It looks wonderful!!

I cleaned it with TSP. 2 coats of Zinzzer primer.1stcoat was a yellow gold. Taped off border first. Painted flowers and taped off border again and painted black. Ist coat of poly mixed with brown paint (6:1). 3 more coats of poly...very important to let the layers dry between coats. Let cure before you move furniture in (don't ask)

That's so cool. I'd love to see a closer-up of the harlequin pattern.

If the first coat of poly was mixed with paint were the other 2 coats just poly? Also did you mean that you had the primer mixed(1st)coat and then just used plain primer? Also tell us how you did the walls. They look wonderful! Sorry for all the questions but I really like the way your floors look!
