We had to put something on the hardwood stairway. We have lived with the hardwood stair treads for about 7 opr 8 years now. But just recently our 14 year old Aussie started slipping and even fell goung up. He is too old to try to teach him not to run on them--so after almost 2 hours of internet searching found these little treads. They are just like little mini area rugs, and are put down with double stick carpet tape. The site has a wide variety of colors and patterns. These cordinate nicely with the little rug at the bottom, and they come in sets of 13, for the 13 steps..So happy we found a solution I just wanted to share.

We had the same problem with our beloved Toby (lab). But our stairs WERE carpeted and he still fell.

Watch your furbaby closely, if he is arthritic or has bad hips, he may still slip and fall.

Awww...look at that sweetheart!

Great idea for the treads. I especially like that you can easily change them if you want, unlike installed carpeting. Or, if one gets stained or damaged you can just replace it with no hassle.

Love the treads...

...and love your Aussie! This is funny, but he looks just like a dog we had...the vet said she was part border collie. ANYway, she was the best dog ever; sweet as candy!
