Hi, can you please let me know if I am making a major mistake or what I am doing is ok? I am decorating on a budget and I have put together what I already on hand when I moved to my new apartment. I need feedback and suggestions!!!

I'm not quite sure what kind of feedback you are asking for. Your pictures reflect a very distinctive style. Are you asking for advice to complete the room or do you just want confirmation that your displays are well done?

Your art/collectibles aren't really to my taste, but I'll try to offer some general guidelines.
My first impression? It looks like a museum. Everything is TOO symmetrical. It's hard to give much advice without a wider view - more photos of the whole room, and I don't know what effect you're going for, but (a) it could really use some color and some light. (b) try a more asymmetrical arrangement of your collection. Group in 3's or odd numbers; throw in some books, candles, plants. Scatter the figurines around the room. I'm sure you love them (which is why you have them) but no one says you have to show them all at once. I like variety - try displaying some of your faves and then rotating them in and out. I tend to be seasonal and bring out my 'stuff' depending on the season or holidays. Just the other day I rearranged/redecorated for Spring (even if it was snowing at the time - I'm being optimistic!)

Post some more pics, if you'd like. I'd be happy to take another look.
