Yes, I'm still working on the guest room. Slow progess lol.
Since this is a mirrored dresser. Should I put a mirror above it or something else? I just can't decide.
If you think a mirror would work. Any ideas to what style of mirror? This message has been edited. Last edited by: lilsophie,
Hmmm ok, I will stop looking for mirror's. : )
NO! Don't stop looking for mirrors. Here's a gorgeous example of a mirrored chest with mirror over it, from Boston-based designer Rachel Reider.
And another example, from designer Deborah Lipner.
Aychihuaha, I just took a peek in the room again. I thought a mirror would be nice over the mirrored chest. I will keep looking. I have looked at so many. I'm confused at what type of frame would look good on the mirror. Such a hard decision. Thanks for the pics, they help.
I can't get a great pic of the room either. The wall color looks so faded out in the picture I posted...yikesThis message has been edited. Last edited by: lilsophie,
A mirror with a mirrored frame!
I was thinking of a Ventian glass mirror but I do like the second picture -- that mirror is great. I think whatever you do it needs to have a silvered type finish not a heavy dark finish.
But yes, definitely a mirror!

Ok, thank you Los and Linderhof. Appeciate your thoughts.
a round mirror with silver rays, maybe? Smaller mirrir, longer rays?
what's over the bed?
Sounds like it would be a cute mirror MyDesign.
Sjf, nothing yet. The room is a blank canvas basically right now.
before i made the suggestion of a mirror over the bed wanted to see if the feng shui would be ok, and it seems it is, at least in an adult bedroom...
what you do have to remember is wherever you place the mirror it will reflect what's across the room...one of my mother's friends made it a point to have a mirror that got the evening sunset and the glow was wonderful...but if you like to sleep in, and every morning the sun is 2x as bright???
i havn't done a search but what about a painting in a mirrored or partly mirrored frame?
I also want to get a padded headboard I think. Been looking at them, and I really like them.
I will have to goggle the mirrored picture, to get some ideas on this idea, Thanks
I like your padded or upholstered headboard idea! Tufted would be great.
I love your nightstand and do not get frustrated you can't put this together fast, you will find the right piece, once you hone in on what you want, you can google search images to find something you like.
Good luck with your bedroom project, sounds nice can't wait to see what you come up with!
Since this is a guest room, a mirror if there isn't another one in the room.
It's a matter of practicality. And one large enough to see their outfit to make sure they are put together, rather than just a smaller face mirror.
If you'd prefer to put a mirror somewhere else in the room, that's another story.
I also think a mirror is fine as long as it's something interesting like a venetian mirror or one like aychihuaha showed.
When I first saw your picture, I thought a long ventian type mirror would look great but then as I looked at Ay's inspiration picture, I absolutely LOVED the aqua dining room so bottom line, I think a mirror with a plain silver frame.
Hi Mary Ruth, I have been eyeing padded headboard for months now. Love them. JCP has some nice one some good prices, I think.
I am thinking an oatmeal color, what do you think? The wall color is Water chestnut. Wish I could get a better picture of the room. Color is faded out.
Indexlady, no there isn't another mirror in the room. In fact right now only the bed, with all white bedding and the dresser.
Chloe, thanks for your input, appreciate it. : )
Lu, So you think a mirror with silver frame. Even if there is no silver in the room at all??
I like your Oatmeal color idea but it should be dark enough not to fade into the wall color.
I know so hard to get the camera and computer screen to show accurate color!
hope the link works, which one were you thinking about?
Mary Ruth, I like Catrina II and Amy II. Both of these ones are slipcovered. I like that. I know Amy is plain, but since it's a slipcover. I figure I could make extra slipcovers in different fabrics.
I like Kristen II as well. But I have had a few people tell me, that dust collects in the tufting easily. So not sure now.
What about a chocolate? Too dark?
Thoughts on any of these??
I put all the headboards on one picture.
I put the last one Kristen II to show the Saddle color, I think that is nice.
I like them all, but my favorite is the Kristen in Saddle.
And about dust, no matter what headboard you have, even plain should be brushed often and vacuumed anyway.

Mary Ruth, thanks for putting these pics up there. I like that.
Thanks for helping with the choices, I love your input.
Think I will go to JCP and see if they have fabric swatches. Thanks again.
You are welcome!
