I set a summer table using some thrift store strawberry theme dishes and my youngest DD's dolls from a couple of decades ago, LOL.

I have a couple of follow up posts to show other angles.

An overview of the table; (I take so many of these that they have been nicknamed "candyshots" on another forum.)

Close up of the centerpiece which is the Strawberry Shotcake Trolley with Miss Strawberry herself and a friend, LOL

Makes me want to make some actual strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight.

Happy Summer everybody,
Candy

That's very cute -- was it for a little girl's party? I'm sure they felt very special with such a cool table.

Thanks, but I do tablescapes just for fun and this was just a fun one to create.
I usually create a different tablescape every week and I have a toy box full of old toys left from when my DD's were little and now with cars and sports things added for the DGS's so the DGK's have toys to play with when they are at Grandma's house. So for this table, I just used some of the dolls.

I love to go to thrift stores and find inexpensive dishes to set my tables and I find lots of different linens, dishes, glassware, flatware, and other decorative items to create my tablescapes. It is a hobby for me, and when I do entertain, I have lots of choices for that dinner table setting.

There are several bloggers who contribute to what they term "Tablescape Thursday" but I haven't ventured into blogland yet. I do check out their posts to see what they have created and for inspiration.

TTFN,
Candy

I have serious dish envy with those strawberry dishes! I have wanted to do a strawberry theme kitchen for such a long time. One of these days. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

When I check a thrift store for dishes, all they have are a few worn, scatched pieces.
