Can anyone recommend a bright green or orange that would work with BM's Malton? It is a plain ol' beige (and is very boring). http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/malton We're trying to work up our kitchen plan and will very likely go with cream/white cabs and dark counters. We have Malton through the main area (entry, halls, lr) and plan on using BM's Tea in the den. The kitchen wall will be pulled down to open the dining room, and the DR would be painted to match kitchen. We have a huge skylight, so natural light is a big bonus in this area. http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/tea If I had to paint the main area again, it wouldn't be a heartbreak, but we did spend ** on the paint and put a lot of effort into it (and I haven't even finished). | |||

I was thinking 'faded brick type of orange when I saw your first sample, then when seeing the second one I saw you were going in that direction. That Malton color is heavily orange in its shadows. Have you looked at a few shades lighter on the color swatch (2nd color?) Once you find the orange that works well with your Malton, THEN pick that value and a green that coordinates with that color. It will make it easier to pick the green if you choose to go that route. I think the green will end up being grayed when you find it, would blend nicely without too much contrast.
